Sugawara no Michizane

At the present time,
Since I could bring no offering,
See Mount Tamuke!
Here are brocades of red leaves,
As a tribute to the gods.

Sugawara no Michizane (845-903) was an excellent scholar, poet, and politician.
In nowadays, he is worship as a god of study.

I like this. I'd like to learn Japanese. But content to read both ways, lovely poem. I love Hitomaro, Iwami, for instance.
The art work is very nice. is your mothers too?

I have some Japanese FB friends and I'd like more friend from there on FB.
My newest friend will visit here after finishing college next year!! I'll be so happy to show him around because Japanese also were kind to show me around when I was there!!
