#14 Minamoto no Toru



Kawara no Sadaijin

Michinoku no
Shinobu moji-zuri
Tare yue ni
Midare some ni shi
Ware naranaku ni


Minamoto no Toru

Like Michinoku prints
Of the tangled leaves of ferns,
It is because of you
That I have become confused;
But my love for you remains.

Michinoku prints (Shinobu moji-zuri) means a kind of dyeing which form intricate pattern.

Yes, It is beautiful phrase.

First Picuture is picuture of poet.
and Three lines of poem are written.

Second picuture is imaginary scenery of the poem.
And poem of last two lines are written.

It is a style of "Korin Karuta" that is painted by Ogata Korin.

"Hyakunin Isshu" means "100poet 1 poem" in English.

and circle is a painting style of my mother.
